Cheese Guy dances a tango

Check out my friend Peter Lovis, dancing a tango at a benefit last night at Concord Academy.  His partner, Sara Schilling from Studio 665 in Woburn, is also his teacher.  The event was called “Dancing for Summer Stages!”  Aside from the extraordinary skills on display, I couldn’t help but notice that everybody dancing was having a blast.  Peter owns The Concord Cheese Shop in Concord Massachusetts and is married to my friend, Tracy Taylor.  I also got a chance to see some of Peter’s employees from the shop which is always fun.  If you live within driving distance of Concord Center and you haven’t been to The Concord Cheese Shop, I think you should stop what you’re doing and go there right now.  If it’s the middle of the night and the door is locked, just wait, they will open eventually.

2006 calendar

A few years ago I made a silly calendar with my own face pasted on strange photos found on the web.  I’d give it to a small group of friends at Christmas.  It seemed to hit a few people in the funny bone and it even got a couple to pee in their pants though I’m sure they would deny that now.  I’ve done 4 of these calendars now and the list of people I give them to has expanded to around 20.  A lot of work goes into these and not everybody is special enough to make my gift list.  (You all know who you aren’t.)  So I thought I’d start throwing them up here on the blog over the next few weeks.  The first year I’m posting here was purposely done with only one photo of my face so I had to really force the perspective in a few places.  I think that adds to the humor.  (It helps too that I look seriously constipated in that shot.)  So if you want to see me and George W, cuddling in a pool in our bathing suits or see me get bawled out by my parents, Ward and June, stay tuned.  There are 3 more years to post.
